Babble Exclusive: General Hospital‘s Teresa Castillo Talks Pregnancy, Plot Twists, and More!

150172_10150964840874002_1987984500_nGeneral Hospital star Teresa Castillo is pregnant both on and off the small-screen! The talented star and celebrity mom-to-be, who is expecting her first child with her husband Shane Aaron, sat down with Babble for an exclusive interview to talk about her pregnancy, her cravings, plot twists, and more.

It’s refreshing to see that Teresa has the same motherhood jitters, pregnancy cravings and parenting goals as the rest of us. Don’t you just love it when there are celebrities that are down-to-earth about starting a family? Check out a few highlights from our conversation below:

Babble: Congrats on your pregnancy! How are the aches, pains, and wobbling that are usually associated with pregnancy coming along? Or are you having a smooth ride with this pregnancy?

Teresa: Thanks!!! I’m having a remarkably smooth pregnancy. I really expected to suffer through it! But so far, I have no real complaints. I’ve definitely got that pregnancy waddle going on now! So that’s kinda funny. No real pains yet.

Babble: Are you keeping fit with this pregnancy? And if so, what does your routine look like?

Teresa: I’m trying to. I hike, walk, and take some prenatal yoga classes.

Babble: Do you have any pregnancy cravings? Are you trying to fight them off?

Teresa: I really like fruit, cereal, and carbs and dessert right now. Not really fighting them off too well. Kinda eating what I want, when I want — but in moderation.

Babble: Now that you know the gender of your child, do you have any possible girl names that you and your husband have been coming up with?

Teresa: We’ve come up with a few. We’re planning to have three names ready to go and decide once we meet her. But we’re keeping those secret.

Babble: How do you feel about General Hospital writing in your pregnancy (and the story twist) for the show?

Teresa: I feel so lucky! Not having to hide behind counters or large bags is pretty great. I think it’s a cool twist and appropriate for the storyline. It creates more of that conflict and drama we all love so much.

Babble: Also, do you keep up with the latest celebrity pregnancy news? And of course… are you a Babble fan?

Teresa: I like reading how different celebs keep in shape and juggle their careers with being a new mom. Drew Barrymore was actually in my prenatal yoga class! It was cool to see a pregnant celeb dealing with the same things as anyone else. And I LOVE Babble. The site is so relatable. I especially appreciate reading through the Latina section. I’m planning to teach my daughter Spanish. Being bilingual has been so beneficial for me. You guys have an article that talks about the do’s and don’ts of raising bilingual children that I found very helpful.
