Babies Are "Like The Only Priority In Life" Say Nick Cannon

mariah-carey-and-nick-cannon-pregnant-photosIndeed, making babies is like the only priority in many people’s lives… especially for dudes at the bars at closing time.

Still, is Nick Cannon trying to be profound? In a recent interview about when he and Mariah will start a family, Nick was quoted as saying “That’s like the only priority in life.” Of course, then he goes on to explain how his and Mariah’s other priorities are keeping them from getting to that whole baby thing just yet.

Says Nick:

“We absolutely plan to have a family. But we gotta prioritize, because that’s a major, major priority…

“That’s like the only priority in life, when you think about it, is starting and raising a family,” he added. “We wanna make sure everything is out of the way and that we don’t have any distractions.”

Getting pregnant may have to wait until Carey is done touring to promote her newest album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, Cannon said.

“She’s on tour right now, I’m doing a bunch of stuff, so eventually we want to be able to say, ‘It’s time to have a kid,’ and set everything up,” Cannon said.

“But we’re definitely moving toward [having children]. We got our house in L.A., and we got a house [in New York], established and close to schools,” he went on. “So we take all of that stuff into consideration.”

Hey, it’s good to take your time and make everything right before you start a family, I get that. Still, I wonder how long Nick and Mariah are gonna put things off.

Rumors about everything from adoptions to IVF clinics have been swirling since their wedding, but so far, the couple doesn’t seem to be getting all that pregnant.
