Baby Gaga: And No, Lady Gaga Isn't Having A Baby

born this way lady gaga 300x300 Born This Way Lady Gaga: Listen to Born This Way, LyricsYou might see “Baby Gaga” and think that I’m about to announce that Lady Gaga is expecting her first child. That would be really wrong. Because Baby Gaga is something you probably would never imagine: it’s breast milk ice cream. Yep, you read that right folks, breast. milk. ice. cream.

As a huge fan of ice cream, I can honestly say that I couldn’t imagine putting a spoonful of the yummy goodness in my mouth knowing that it contained breast milk! But there is an ice cream like that, and that ice cream exists in London. And yes, the name of the ice cream really is Baby Gaga.

Icecreamists ice cream parlor is selling the new flavor at 14 pounds (about $23). The new recipe blends the breast milk with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest, which is then freshly churned into ice cream. A costumed Baby Gaga waitress serves the ice cream in a martini glass filled with the tasty treat. It can also be served with whiskey or anyother type of cocktail on request.

The parlor pays 15 pounds for every 10 ounces of milk that they receive from women who will donate their milk. 15 mothers have already volunteered to donate their breast milk.

To maintain the highest safety and health standards, health checks are performed on each lactating woman. The checks are the same ones used by the UK’s National Health Service to screen blood donors.

Icecreamists founder 44-year-old Matt O’Connor says that he is confident his new ice cream will be a big hit with customers. He also says people should think of it as an organic, free-range treat.

I wonder what Lady Gaga thinks about this!

What do you think of Baby Gaga? Would you be willing to try it?
