Baby Making: 4 Stars Put On Pounds For Pregnancy

In the entertainment industry being thin isn’t just a job requirement but apparently it also can be a liability …in their offstage lives that is.

Here are four celebrity ladies who are rumored to be gaining weight to prepare their bodies for knocked-up-ness. Check out who’s supposedly pigging out on carbs, exercising less and just plain getting their oven ready for that bun.

Amy Winehouse:

Scary skinny, and just scary in general, the one and only Amy Winehouse is supposedly packing on some extra poundage to get ready to have a baby with her on again, off again love Black Fielder Civil.

“Amy’s looking so much better because she’s been off drugs for a good six months,” a source told Britain’s Now magazine. “She used to survive on sweets, ice cream and crisps, but she’s been stocking up on vegetables and fresh produce so that she can do some cooking and hopefully get pregnant. Her biggest addiction now is probably shopping for designer shoes. She’s also visiting the gym. Blake’s spent five months clean because he’s had no choice, but they were such a bad influence on each other in the past that everyone’s wondering whether it’s too soon to bring a baby into their lives.”

Katie Holmes:
There have been countless rumors that Katie and Tom are planning for another Cruiser to add to the family. A source said, “Katie’s been gorging on loads of carbs and she’s put on at least 12lb. She hates the fact that she’s heavier, but Tom insisted that she needed more meat on her bones to have a greater chance of getting pregnant.”

Victoria Beckham
The notoriously thin Posh Spice reportedly has started to actually eat those dreaded carbs in order to gain weight to prepare for a baby. The Sun reported that,
“It’s no secret Victoria and David want a baby girl,” said a source. “After [her sister] Louise said she was having a daughter it has driven Vic even more to prepare for pregnancy.”

Giuliana Rancic:
Giuliana and hubby Bill Rancic are hard at work trying to get knocked up. The E! host and reality star has eased up on the exercise in order to gain a bit of weight. She recently said, “I used to run a lot, because I loved it, but now I don’t do it as much,” she said. “I always ate healthy. Just because I have to gain weight doesn’t mean I am going to go to a drive through and pig out on fast food. I eat very clean.”
