Baby Names, Oscar® Edition: Celebs Who Gave Their Kids Movie-Inspired Names! (Photos)

collage celeb kid movie namesOn Sunday, the world’s attention will be focused on that prestigious little gold statuette called Oscar®. But for A-list actor Hugh Jackman, Oscar is on his mind every day of the year.

Is he that obsessed with winning acting awards? Nah. Oscar also happens to be the name of Hugh’s 12-year-old son. But now that the Les Miserables star is one of the Best Actor nominees, things can get kind of confusing.

“Whenever I first hear [someone mention the award], I go – what? What’s he done?” Hugh told Fox News back in December.

Carrying on the entertainment theme, Hugh and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, named their daughter Ava. Were they thinking of the famous Ava Gardner when they chose it? Whether or not they did, it still calls to mind the glamour of old Hollywood.

A number of other famous parents kept the movies and legendary stars in mind when naming their children. Who are they? And who else has sons who share the moniker of a certain award?
