Baby Watch! Jessica Simpson Goes to the Hospital

By shanaaborn |

Jessica Simpson will become a mom today!

See this picture? Look at it closely, because that’s the last time you’ll see Jessica Simpson looking like this for a while.

After what seems like years of waiting, it looks like her baby girl is finally on her way!

TMZ reported just a few minutes ago that Jessica and members of her family, including her sister Ashlee, were spotted checking into a Los Angeles hospital. That’s a pretty good clue of baby news if ever there was one.

No word yet on whether the Fashion Star host went into labor on her own or whether, as has been reported, she’s being induced because she’s more than a week past her due date.

When a pregnancy lasts this long, there’s a risk of the amniotic fluid level’s going down, which is potentially harmful for the baby. So if labor hasn’t actually started, it’s more than likely that doctors will start to move it along.

The news is spreading fast, and Jessica already has one friend’s words of encouragement. Ryan Seacrest tweeted, “Finally! @JessicaSimpson is at the hospital having her baby! Good luck Jess! #push”
