The second episode of Bachelor Pad aired last night, and it definitely has viewers more sucked in than ever. The show really has much more of a Survivor feel to it as opposed to the whole love theme that surrounds The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Finding love isn’t exactly the goal on this spin-off.
Backstabbing and strategy talk are definitely running rampant in the house, as contestants use various methods to try and be the last person standing and ultimately win $250,000. The ladies are using their sex appeal to win over the guys…and the guys are definitely turning on the charm to woo these beauties and save themselves from being voted off.
And nobody is turning it on more than resident bad boy, Wes, who made a name for himself as “the guy who had a girlfriend” on Jillian Harris’s season of The Bachelorette.
With his good looks, southern accent, and knowing how to use his guitar to its full potential, Wes definitely had Jillian wrapped around his little finger. And now it seems as though he’s found a new potential “love” interest in Gia Allemand on Bachelor Pad.
Most people think Jake Pavelka is a complete idiot for letting Gia go on his season of The Bachelor. A lot of people even think that she should’ve been The Bachelorette instead of Ali Fedotowsky. And now, millions of viewers are cringing and yelling “Run Gia! Run!”, at the TV screen while watching the beautiful brunette from New York grow more and more smitten with villain, Wes.
Even though Gia came onto the show with a boyfriend back home, it didn’t stop Wes from going in for the kill and trying to charm Gia…even going so far as to tell her he loved her on last night’s episode. Gia seems to be eating up all of the attention from Wes, and possibly even welcoming it.
She told him last night that sometimes she wished that the circumstances of the show were different so she could’ve had him instead of vying for the cash prize.
Previews for next week’s show insinuate that things are going to get even steamier between these two. Is it possible that an actual romance could result from this seemingly mis-matched union? Could Gia actually be the one girl who could tame Wes and have him fall in love, settle down, and start a family?
Hmm…maybe ABC should think about casting Wes as the next Bachelor. That would definitely be interesting.
