Bachelorette: Roberto Meets Ali's Parents

The finale of Season 6 of The Bachelorette has finally arrived!  In a mere two hours, we will know whether or not Ali actually winds up with one of her two final suitors, Roberto and Chris.  And I must say that she’s really in a win-win situation here, because both of these dudes would make amazing husbands, and even better fathers.

As a baseball player, I can totally see Roberto out playing catch in the back yard with a couple of cute little boys.  And I can also see he and Ali enjoying (ahem) quiet time in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine after the mini-Roberto’s are in bed.

Judging from Roberto’s meeting with Ali’s parents and siblings, she isn’t the only one who is quite taken with this hunk!

Ali’s mom thinks that he’s “the tall, dark, and handsome man of Ali’s dreams.” And after some alone time with mama, he definitely won her over by asking “what he could do to make sure Ali is happy.”  That’s music to every mother’s ears.

And then the tears began.  And then she even started speaking Spanish to Roberto and told him that she “believes his heart is pure.”

Awww!  He’s got Mom’s seal of approval!  And us girls tend to trust our mother’s instincts!

Next came Roberto’s talk with Ali’s Dad.  When Papa asked him how he felt about Ali, he told him that something happened immediately when their eyes met.  He expressed his genuine feelings for Ali and…wait for it…asked for her Dad’s blessing if he were to propose!

His Dad kind of had me on the edge there for a minute as to how he would answer that question, but he finally said that he has no problem with Roberto asking for his daughter’s hand.

And no meeting with Roberto would be complete without a little Salsa dancing.  In Ali’s own words, “Roberto fits right in!”

Sounds like Chris is going to have his work cut out for him in order to surpass Roberto’s charm.

Stay tuned!
