Bethenny Frankel Wants Another Baby: But Only If It's a Girl

Bethenny Frankel only wants another baby if it's a girl.

Bethenny Frankel hasn’t been shy about gushing about her adorable daughter, Bryn. From what Bethenny says, it sounds like Bryn is a real gem. She eats well, she sleeps 12 hours a night, and Bethenny says she’s a fun baby.

Although Bethenny is worried that she won’t be so lucky with her next child, she does want to have another baby…but only if it’s a girl. She told In Touch, “I’m only in this for another girl. If there’s a boy, I’m not involved. I want a guarantee!”

I have always been a Bethenny Frankel fan, but that statement makes me so sad for more reasons than one.

First of all, Bethenny has no idea what she’s missing when it comes to the love and adoration a mom gets from her little boy. Moms are really the first true loves of their sons, and I can attest to the fact that there is nothing better than when your little boy looks at you and says, “Mommy, you’re the love of my life!”

I’m sure that Bethenny is just so in love with Bryn that she thinks she wouldn’t know what to do with a boy, but I think she’d be pleasantly surprised at how wonderful boys are.

The second reason that her comment threw me for a loop is because there are so many women out there who struggle with infertility, or have lost their babies prematurely in pregnancy. I’m 100% sure that those women would give anything just to have a healthy baby, and that they aren’t concerned with whether or not they have a boy or a girl.

There are no guarantees in life, but a happy and healthy child is a blessing, regardless of gender.

Again, I think Bethenny is great…but it sounds like her priorities are a bit out of whack.
