You know that old saying that says you can never be too rich or too thin? Well, former Real Housewife of New York, Bethenny Frankel, doesn’t exactly agree with that statement. Bethenny recently admitted to Life & Style that she definitely thinks that she is too skinny. Yeah…that’s a problem that most of us would LOVE to have.
Bethenny said, “I’m too thin, because I’m so busy I’m not always hungry. I have to make myself eat more because of my busy schedule.”
Hmm…Bethenny may be onto something here. There’s really no need to diet if you make sure you calendar is full and that you don’t have any time to eat! I might have to try that.
Bethenny lost her pregnancy weight very fast, and credits her quick slim down to the fact that she didn’t over-indulge while pregnant. She said, “I didn’t diet when I was pregnant, but I also didn’t binge.”
Bethenny went a bit further and suggested that women who do gain a lot of weight are guilty of pigging out. “My theory is people who gain 60 to 70 pounds: You’re eating, you’re eating like a maniac! I think it’s license to go off the rails,” is what Frankel said.
I don’t think I’m the only woman who is slightly offended by that statement. Personally, I gained a good 50 pounds while I was pregnant with my son. I ate normal sized meals, and most of the time I ate fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains, with the occasional indulgent meal thrown in. In contrast to Bethenny’s theory on pregnancy weight gain, my theory is that every woman is different, and your body is going to gain what it needs to gain to deliver a healthy child. Just because a woman gains 60 to 70 pounds or more during pregnancy doesn’t necessarily mean that she sat on the couch eating bon bons the entire time.
Bethenny definitely has her Skinny Girl figure back after having baby Bryn, but do you think she is too thin?
