For the longest time, I really didn’t care about Bethenny Frankel. I guess it’s because I never really watched her on the Real Housewives of New York or her other Bravo television shows. It wasn’t until I picked up her latest book , “A Place of Yes,” did I really appreciate her honesty and frankness and tell-it-how-it-is frank approach in life. But then came all the lying and the “lost at sea” rumors that showed another side of her that had many of her fans calling her out on her so-called “honesty.”
Well, as much as I give her credit for being one of the more “real” celebrities out there, I can’t help but throw a bit of shade her way for revealing that she recently suffered a miscarriage on the same day that her show, “Bethenny Ever After” has it’s season premiere.
The celebrity mother spoke about her heartbreak on the Today Show, saying: “Until you become a woman, you don’t know the things that come with it. The window is closing, and it’s something I’m dealing with.”
Bethenny also adds that while she is grateful for her daughter Bryn, she’s uncertain if she is going to try for another child. “I’m not really thinking about it,” she says.
“I have thought about other women more than myself. I can’t believe what people go through if they can’t even have the one. You go through a roller coaster of emotions about it.”
While it’s difficult to disagree with Bethenny here, I’m just not getting why she feels the need to pour out all the details of her personal life at the same time she’s trying to promote her show. I understand that everyone has a job to do, but is there anything out there that’s kept private anymore? I cringed when I watched the promo commercials on Bravo that have Bethenny talking about her husband Jason’s private parts having cob webs around them. Heck, I’m surprised he’s even still married to her.
What do you think? Is Bethenny being just “real” or she sold herself short to her reality television persona? It’s just all a little too fishy for me, given her ahem, lying record these days.
