Beyoncé’s Hair Mystery! Is it a Wig or a Weave? (Photos)

Beyoncé caused quite a stir earlier this month when she chopped off all her hair. She shared photos of her new super short pixie cut, and you know what? She looked adorable! I, for one, thought we’d see a whole new Beyoncé style, but no. The long(er) blond locks are back!

After Beyoncé famously cut off her hair, she was spotted with a bob while out and about, and she is now sporting an asymmetrical version, looking edgy and super chic, as always. And this week, she was seen at Coney Island, doing a video shoot and showing off her sporty ‘do.

But here is my question: is it a magnificently done weave, or is it a stunning wig? Seriously, it looks so natural and so fabulous that I cannot figure out how she does it. NY Mag’s The Cut is as confused as we are, writing that after she debuted her bob, “the Internet was like, What do we even do with this? What is real anymore? And again, no one could decide whether she was wearing a wig or extensions or a weave, or maybe some combination of the three. At the end of the day, we’ll never really know what part of Bey’s hair is real and what isn’t…”

Check out these photos. What do you think? A weave or a wig?

The roots make it look like it isn't a wig ... or maybe the wig has roots?

Here you can really see the asymmetrical style of the bob. Très chic, no?

There is a lot of volume to her hair, which could mean a wig OR a weave.

Oh, and while she was in Coney Island, she rode the Wonder Wheel!
