When you’re a celebrity, you have to put up with a lot of phony rumors about your career and personal life. That’s annoying enough. But when you’re a mother – or trying to become one – you have to think about how these rumors are going to affect your family. No doubt famous moms like Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts have to steer their kids away from the magazine racks and block them from looking at certain gossip sites.
Most of the time, the well-known moms ignore or laugh off the buzz. But other times, the gossip is so outrageous or hurtful that they just have to speak out, either on their own or through a rep.
That’s what Khloe Kardashian found herself doing yesterday. Already dealing with the stress of husband Lamar Odom‘s leaving the Dallas Mavericks after just a short time there, she was horrified to see a report in In Touch Weekly saying she’d had a miscarriage two months ago. The article quoted a source as saying she was devastated and worried that her marriage might not last if she couldn’t get pregnant soon.
Furious, Khloe took to her Twitter account to set things straight. “People are SICK! Karma’s on them!” she fumed. “Disgusting. bad karma4them…I guess anything can be ‘reported’ now.”
A rep confirms to Gossip Cop that there’s “no truth” to the miscarriage story.
Considering how devastating it is to have a miscarriage, it’s good to know that Khloe hasn’t been through it. But infertility is a horribly painful thing as well, and to have to deal with nonsense like this when you’re stressed and hurting is doubly awful.
Khloe’s not the only one who’s had to set the record straight this week. Look at these other celebs who are shutting down the rumor mill!
