Isn’t trying to lose baby weight one of the worst things that a woman has to deal with after having a child? I remember being under the false illusion that my weight would just magically “fall off,” as it does for so many celebrity moms. I got a huge wake-up call when I had to work extremely hard for a good nine months before I was finally back to my pre-baby weight.
She may be a fitness guru, but Biggest Loser trainer Kim Lyons admits that shedding pregnancy pounds was pretty tough for her too!
Kim told Star Magazine, “I was overwhelmed like, every new mommy. I was tired, I was out of shape. And I was busy.”
When it comes to staying focused on getting rid of the baby weight, Kim said, “It took serious dedication. I set my goals and when I wanted to give up, I called a friend and scheduled a workout with them to make sure I had someone there to keep me accountable.”
I would have expected someone like Kim to bounce right back into pre-baby shape because of the whole “muscle memory” thing, so it is quite refreshing to hear that even she had to work hard at achieving her goals!
Kim also revealed to Star that she stuck to a very strict eating plan. Her post-baby diet meals consisted of, “oatmeal, eggs and smoothies for breakfast, steamed veggies, quinoa and chicken for lunch and big salads with fish for dinner.”
