Survivor’s Boston Rob Mariano has landed a reality show traveling the world with monster truck driver Dennis Anderson… and he’s leaving the kids behind with wife Amber!
Boston Rob is apparently taking advantage of yet another reality show opportunity (with multiple editions of Survivor and The Amazing Race under his belt, he’s a reality show pro!), but says that leaving the kids is the hardest part.
Still, he credits his wife for being super understanding about the situation – Amber is a Survivor All Stars champ and has also done her fair share of reality shows, so it must help that she knows the drill.
Boston Rob says of doing these gigs, “Being away from my family is always the toughest part about doing these shows. Luckily, I have a wonderful wife that understands my thirst for adventure and consistently supports me in my quests.”
In “Around the World in 80 Ways” on the History Channel, Mariano and Anderson will travel the world using 80 different forms of transportation – never repeating any of the means of transport twice.
Rob explains the show as “a celebration of transportation throughout history,” but Mariano does have some reservations about traveling in “anything that keeps me in a confined space.”
How will the reality show impact Boston Rob’s kids, who are so young? Lucia Rose is 21 months and Carina Rose is just 4 months-old!
I can’t imagine traveling the world with a reality series and missing out on my kids’ milestones, but I suppose in the fickle reality show world, you have to take opportunities when they arise. After all, has Rob ever had a “real” job?
