Brad and Angelina Fight Back – Sue News of the World

By Sunny Chanel |

9875914Take that News of the World! Brad and Angelina aren’t taking your claims of the demise of their relationship lying down. They’re fighting back and using lawyers to do it.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have began a “privacy action” against the News of the World for the very detailed story they printed about the super star couple splitting up.

The London lawyer for Brangelina said…“The News of the World has failed to meet our clients’ reasonable demands for a retraction of and apology for these false and intrusive allegations which have now been widely republished by mainstream news outlets. We have advised them to bring proceedings, which they have now done.”

The lawyer claims that News of the World went against the  “Press Complaints Commission code of conduct that states that a significant inaccuracy, misleading statement or distortion “once recognized must be corrected, promptly and with due prominence, and – where appropriate – an apology published”.

The firm also said that the story in the News of the World was a very serious misuse of private info and that they needn’t say if the charges in the article were true or false. But they added, “However in this case we can confirm unequivocally, and upon instructions, that the allegations published by the News of the World are false as well as intrusive,” the firm said.
