Bravo! Celine Dion Still Breastfeeds Her Twins!

Céline Dion is a very busy mother. Not only does she have three children to care for, but she also has a headlining, always sold out show in Vegas that she puts on nightly! But the most incredible part of this story? She still breastfeeds her 6-month-old twins.

I breastfed all of my children; I have a son and twin girls. I can tell you that breastfeeding twins is hard work! Dion has been a trooper though, and has breastfed her fraternal twin sons Eddy and Nelson since their birth in October.

Fortunately,Dion’s sister lives with the family and helps care for the children. “She takes the kids during the night so, in between the feeds, I sleep,” Dion says.

“So I feed Nelson then she comes back and takes Nelson [and] brings me Eddy. Two breasts, two babies, that’s fine — there’s only so much that you can do.”

The pressure to regain her body after baby is the last of Dion’s concerns right now, and she is not worried about it. “I gained more than 60 pounds. So, to me, it was not about going back to my size zero or two or four…If it has to be an empire waist this way and wear one dress for the whole show — I’m going to do it. I don’t care. I’m a singer, not a model.”

Dion returned to the Vegas stage just five months after delivering the twins. “I’m having a great time as a singer to do, I think, an amazing show. It’s such a grand, chic, beautiful ‘Hollywood like the old days’ show,” Dion recently told ET Canada.

But 43-year-old Dion also admits that leaving her children, the twins and her 10-year-old son René-Charles, to perform every night hasn’t gotten any easier.

“It is very intense so I try to get here as late as possible and get home as quick as I can…The first thing before I start a show, I think of my kids and always say, ‘This one’s for you guys.'”

While I’m not a huge fan of Céline Dion, this story has made me like and respect her a whole lot more!
