'Breaking Dawn' Buzz: Why Are We So Obsessed with 'Twilight'?

Twilight SagaFootage from the Breaking Dawn set of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson is causing an Internet meltdown!

Photos of the couple on the Brazil set of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn were released on the web and devoured by hungry fans.

In materials released by Summit Entertainment, David Slade, director of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse weighs in on why fans love the Twilight series:

“I think one of the things that is so attractive about these stories is that they do postulate the idea of true love in a culture where it’s not very common.True love’s a wonderful thing and sadly it’s not been hugely abundant and apparent, especially in the media. But, it is difficult to make a great story out of something as simple as pure love, because usually, great stories come from great conflicts. What Stephenie’s done so cleverly is make a great conflict, but not at the expense of true love, which is one of the reasons I personally believe these films and these books are so universally successful and popular.”

According to MTV News, the Brazil images are not official pics from Breaking Dawn. While the photos causing the web frenzy are not official, Twihards are spreading the pics around the web at record speed.

At this point, the only “official” image from the final Twilight movie is an image of female arm grasping a handful of feathers.  The photo is from the Breaking Dawn honeymoon scene, new husband Edward bites pillows instead of Bella’s neck, spreading feathers everywhere.
