Brian Wood is the gaming designer who was killed last week in a tragic auto accident that had him sacrificing his own life for the safety of his wife and unborn child. Now, there is a memorial fund that has been set up and is taking donations to help the family.
Brian was killed when his car was hit by a Chevy Blazer that had crossed over the median, after the driver was discovered to be taking her sweater off and her passenger was steering for her. Wood swerved the car at the last minute so that the driver side would take the full force of impact a move which ended up saving his wife and the unborn child that she was carrying.
Relic Entertainment, the company that Brian worked for has set up a memorial trust for Brian’s wife, to help her through this terrible time. “Brian was a very close friend. He was just the kindest, most down to earth person you could ever hope to meet, as is Erin. We have set up a trust fund to help Erin and the baby during this very difficult time.”
If you would like to help, donations to the Brian Wood Memorial Trust can be made in person at any North Shore Credit Union branch in the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia, online through PayPal or via regular mail. To learn more, or to make a donation click here.
