Bristol Palin Dancing With The Stars: DWTS Gets Its Credibility Back As Bristol Takes Third

Bristol Palin "Dancing with the Stars:" Did her finish restore show's credibility?

“Dancing with the Stars” was in danger of becoming the next “Quiz Show” if Bristol Palin, the “teen activist” (read: teen mom), actually won. But Jennifer Grey prevailed. In fact, in the most shocking moment of the finale, Bristol Palin’s “Dancing with the Stars” experience ended in third place and not in first, as everyone had begun to expect. So does this restore the credibility of the show?

People had been saying since Palin’s surprise trip to the finals over Brandy that a win by Palin would completely obliterate the show’s credibility. I sorta agree. I think the producers had to have seen the outcry over the past few days and been praying that Bristol the Pistol did not win so that the rumored boycott would not take place. Of course it still doesn’t totally explain how she finished third, but it does knock down the tea party conspiracy theories.

What do you think — was the show’s credibility restored?
