And baby makes four!
The Help‘s Bryce Dallas Howard and her husband, Seth Gabel, welcomed a girl on Thursday the 19th, but the announcement only just went out today.
Proud grandpa Ron Howard (boy, it feels so weird calling him that) tweeted, “Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel Born Jan 19 2012 8 lbs 6 oz Bryce & Baby B spectacular Daddy Seth and brother Theo are beaming ear to ear .”
The family knew the baby’s gender well in advance, but kept it secret until now. Big bro Theo, 4, guessed it correctly even sooner, Bryce said on The Tonight Show.Congratulations are pouring in from famous friends.
Jennifer Connolly tweeted, “please send Bryce my congrats and well wishes!!! and Congrats to you xo.”
Help costar Octavia Spencer wrote, “Congrats Ron from bryce’s help family! :-)” And director M. Night Shyamalan joked, “Ron, tell Bryce congratulations from our whole family. I’ll be waiting to cast Beatrice in a few years! :-)”
Ron replied, “Beatrice’s arrival is hugely exciting for our family Thanks for all the kind tweets folks.”
Bryce did millions of moms a great service not long ago when she went public with the details of the postpartum depression she suffered after having Theo. But she has reported feeling better with this pregnancy, apart from morning sickness – and having been through the experience already, she’ll know to seek help if she starts feeling the symptoms again.
Congratulations to mom, dad, brother and “Grandpa Opie”!
