Essence Atkins Expecting Baby

The eternal question of “Are We There Yet?” is about to be a reality for actress Essence Atkins who stars in the TBS sitcom of the same name. She and her husband Jaime Mendez are expecting their first child just in time for the holidays.

“Our gratitude is overwhelming to have found each other and adding a baby to our happy home is truly a dream come true,” the couple announced via People magazine. “We are both elated and humbled by this amazing gift.”

The new addition is set to arrive on Christmas Day.
