During a recent interview with TV.com, Camille Grammer revealed that she tried to quit during filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills first season!
During the interview she expresses that she regrets having done the show. She says, “I didn’t think that it was an accurate portrayal of myself” and that the show cut things out that would make her look more sympathetic.
They also asked her that once she realized what was happening with her marriage, she didn’t turn to the cameras and tell them to get out of her house so she could deal with her marriage. Her response was surprising:
“I wish I could have, but I had an obligation to finish the show. I don’t know if I can say this, but I quit at one point. I did. Because it was too much. I didn’t know how much I could expose at the time. I was holding a lot back because I had known for a while that things were not right between my husband and I. So it’s very difficult filming a reality show while you’re going through this process, and hurt, and devastation.”
She goes on to say that she actually quit the show for a couple of weeks, and it was Kelsey who called her and said, “You have an obligation to do the show. You have to finish the show.” Hmmm…sounds like somebody didn’t want her around.
He went on to tell her that she had to come to the Tonys with him, and when she said she didn’t want to, that he mentioned that they could talk things through and work it out. “That gave me a glimmer of hope that maybe we could spark some romance that weekend. But at that point, he was already gone.”
Their divorce now final, I wonder if she’ll be continuing next season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
