Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has been admitted to hospital to give birth to her second child, according to reports.
Rumor is that the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, accompanied the First Lady as she checked in at the Clinique de la Muette in Paris.
Bruni-Sarkozy hasn’t spoken much publicly about her pregnancy seems superstition is the reason.
“I’m superstitious, so yes, I’ve been very careful,” she told the BBC.
But she also mentioned that baby news isn’t really “news” in France.
“But there isn’t much to say. So many women are expecting children and giving birth, and it’s so uninteresting for French people.”
The First Lady has a ten-year-old son Aurelien, from a previous relationship, and the French President has three sons, Pierre, Jean and Louis from two previous marriages.
Rooms have been booked for family members when the baby arrives.
