If anyone knows how to rock a bikini post-baby, it’s definitely celeb mom Denise Richards. Being a busy mom to two growing girls…and now a newborn, hasn’t slowed Denise down one bit as far as her fitness regime goes.
It is so tough to get back into shape after having a baby, and I think that it’s safe to say that the abdominal region is probably the toughest spot to tone after being stretched out while pregnant.
Denise recently talked to Self.com, and she shared her secret for how she’s managed to achieve flat abs after two pregnancies! Denise said, “My abs get the best workout with my Pilates reformer — I had two C-sections and it was the only thing I found that got my tummy flat.” Richards also added that she stays very active, and enjoys dance in addition to Pilates.
Besides keeping up with a good fitness routine, Denise also follows a healthy, clean diet, with the occasional treat. She said, “My diet is 80 percent vegetarian and I eat all day long. I have lots of little meals; it’s best for me. I found eating three big meals I felt too full and got tired especially after lunch. I eat lots of fruit, veggies, egg whites, oatmeal, a little chicken, eggs, rice — that’s mostly my diet. I do splurge on ice cream and I love pretzels.”
The plan that Denise is following is definitely working for her. I hope that I can look half as good as she does at 40!
