Photos of the gorgeous Vanessa Hudgens de-beautified for her latest movie role got us thinking about some of our favorite beautiful celeb moms who played it ugly for the movies.

Seeing some of these actresses transformed from the way we’re used to seeing them is sometimes a shocker – other times, they’re even unrecognizable!

In some cases, it even seems to improve their acting and immerses them more into a character. For audiences, it’s always cool to see how makeup can take actresses from glam to unattractive for the big screen.
