tina fey, snl, tina fey, mominations

Tina Fey makes us all feel good by making us laugh.

Why is it that when we think of moms we often think about those who plaster their family all over reality television or the moms who pose in bikinis a number of weeks after having a baby? What about those moms who invest their lives to the greater good? The ones who make sure they are always giving back. Why aren’t we focusing our attention on those moms?

Babble thinks we should be. So we created “Mominations” – our celebration of 100 of the most inspiring mothers who have changed the world for the better. Whether it’s Tina Fey making us laugh, Hilary Clinton taking steps towards the White House, or Angelina Jolie and all her work as an ambassador for the world, these are the women who have redefined what it means to be a mother, and shown us what is possible in the world.

And yes, 100 is a short list of women. So we want you to “mominate” mothers you know who go above and beyond the call of duty. Enter them in the running to win one of ten $5,000 prizes toward the charity or cause of their choice!  It can be anyone from your local councilwoman to the do-gooder down the street—Babble wants to know about the moms who are making a difference where you live.Once you submit their name, other readers will have a chance to vote for her, too, and the winners will be chosen on September 12, 2011.

So what are you waiting for? Get “mominating” today!

Below, check out our list of 10 celebrity moms who we would nominate to be the most inspiring mom who has changed the world for the better!
