'Celebrity Apprentice': Trump Firing David Cassidy Over Richard Hatch? Is 'Apprentice' Over?

David Cassidy on Celebrity Apprentice 2011

Celebrity Apprentice has been a popular reality series in the past but has Donald Trump run the show into the ground?

Last night Trump fired David Cassidy instead of Richard Hatch, in a move that was clearly for TV ratings!  Trump decided to “trump” the rules of the game and leave Richard Hatch on the reality show.

Because everyone knows that a bully makes for great reality TV.

Last night’s Apprentice was lame!  Where did they find some of the so-called celebrities?  Seriously, is Richard Hatch really considered a celeb?  The guy was on one season of Survivor!

The celebrities who are competing for charity dollars in the reality series included Gary Busey, José Canseco, Marlee Matlin, David Cassidy, Star Jones,Dionne Warwick, Lissa Rinna, NeNe Leakes and Richard Hatch.

All of the members of his team told Donald Trump that they would fire Richard Hatch.  David Cassidy said Hatch was “an egomaniac, a control freak” and told “The Donald” that Hatch lies.

Donald Trump admitted that he doesn’t really like Richard Hatch and it was pretty clear to viewers that Richard Hatch should have been the one to get fired last night.

Huffington Post’s Micheal Russnow made this observation about the new season of Apprentice:

“It’s also interesting what constitutes “celebrity,” and while there have certainly been legitimate and significant ones in the past and even on this edition, there appears to be difficulty rounding up enough for the full slate of sixteen.”

I think last night’s Celebrity Apprentice was too cheesy, even for reality TV!  It’s time to hang it up and go home Donald!
