Celebrity Moms Helping Kids In Haiti

nicole_sullivanCelebrity parents have been pitching in to help relief efforts in Haiti with fundraising events and donation of their time and resources, charitable acts that should inspire us all to get involved.

Of course, not everyone has access to a private jet or the ability to host an international concert.  Celebrity moms Marissa Jaret Winokur, Nicole Sullivan, Constance Marie, Ming Na and Renee Baio remind us that we all have something to give back – even if it’s just a box of old baby clothes.

Led by by fashion designer and mom Jayneoni Moore, the celebrity volunteers gathered for a Playdate For Haiti on Wednesday, January 27th in Sherman Oaks, California to box up diapers, formula, water and clothes that were donated for the tiniest victims of the Haitian disaster.  Donations came in from mothers across the country, a wave of support that touched the famous mamas.

“I am blown away with the amazing outreach of donors who sent in the formula, diapers and clothing,” said Nicole Sullivan. Sullivan brought her five month old son Beckett to the event with her. While he probably won’t remember the day firsthand, it seems likely this was only one of many good deeds he’ll have a part in as he grows up.

Sullivan and the rest of the celebrity parent packers remind us that it’s never too soon to show our kids that we can make a difference by getting up and getting involved.
