Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women

Hollywood is full of some very powerful women!  Forbes is out with its annual list of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.  Even though the list is largely dominated by political powerhouses and corporate leaders, a few select celebrities squeaked their way into some of the most powerful positions.

From news makers to news reporters and from authors to actresses,  the Forbes list of most powerful women ranks many of today’s powerhouses on the influence they have over world affairs.  Who knew that Angelina Jolie was more powerful than Queen Elizabeth?  Ellen DeGeneres beat out dozens of corporate denizens.  Beyonce Knowles danced her way into her power position.

We’ve got the scoop on which celebrity moms made the list of Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women and which women failed to make the cut this year….

Oprah may not be a mom, but she's an icon to millions of us! The talk show host pulled into number 14 on the Forbes Most Powerful Women List. What should be interesting is if she maintains her spot next year after she's off network tv for a while!
  • Beyonce Knowles 3 of 14
    Beyonce Knowles
Beyonce Knowles isn't a mom yet, but she's a constant on our bump watch list! The singer, designer, and all around icon pulled into the number 18 spot on the Forbes most powerful women list. Given that she's only 29, Beyonce's power should continue to climb.
  • Angelina Jolie 4 of 14
    Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is one powerful mom-of-six! The actress took the number 29 spot mostly due to her humanitarian work around the world.
  • Sarah Palin 5 of 14
    Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin is one of those women you either really love or really hate. The one thing that is certain is that she is a powerful lady coming in at number 34. With a reality show and tv commentator gig to her credit, Sarah's power will only climb is she decides to run for President again.
  • Queen Elizabeth 6 of 14
    Queen Elizabeth
Queen Elizabeth has been at the pinacle of world power for decades. The Queen pulls into the number 49 spot for this year's list of most powerful women. Will future queen Kate Middleton make next year's list?
  • Ellen DeGeneres 7 of 14
