Us “regular” moms might assume that celebrities don’t get any stretch marks during pregnancy. Why? Because sometimes we only see airbrushed photos of them, or think that they have this secret cream that only Hollywood stars can buy.
But celeb moms are just like us… yes those who put them on a pedestal should relax because they are flawed like the rest of us.
Just because celebrities have trainers who can whip them into shape during and after pregnancy or they can afford expensive treatments that can magically erase those stretch marks, skin is skin and it doesn’t go back once it’s stretched out!
Sure there is makeup and creams to hide those annoying marks, but in my opinion, those are “battle scars” from having a baby. And these celeb moms agree! In fact, some don’t even try to hide those marks and we love them for it!
So which celeb moms have stretch marks and don’t care?
After the film, Little Children, Hollywood was all abuzz not only because of a few fairly graphic scenes but more importantly because Kate Winslet was bold enough to show off her stretch marks. The critics praised Winslet for accepting her post-baby body.
Apparently she has 'em. "I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing."
"I remember my flabby belly hanging out right after I gave birth…I kind of laughed and said to Marc, 'Look, baby! Isn't this crazy?' I just didn't care.' You get to the point where you're like, Where am I? What happened to me? I got to get myself together for my kids, you know? They need to know what I really look like."
After giving birth to daughter Harper Seven, Victoria Beckham wasn't planning to keep her post pregnancy stretch mark a minute longer. It's been reported that the new mom had 50 bottles of Rodial's Stretch MX (retail cost $95 per 4.2 oz bottle)!
"Even though some might consider them a flaw, I've learned to love my stretch marks. Pregnancy was the most incredible experience I've ever had. So I'll take the stretch marks. I'll take the cellulite I can never get rid of."
Mariah Carey's bump cover on Life & Style was apparently airbrushed. She reportedly had the editor airbrush her stretch marks. "The babies were kicking almost the entire time; it was unbelievable. Especially the girl clearly she's a diva in training!"
"I totally gave my body over. I didn't care if I got stretch marks, I didn't care if I didn't get back into shape. My main focus was to have a healthy child and it didn't matter to me if I could model or not. I didn't have any aims to get back in shape."
