Expectant dad Neil Patrick Harris was the big winner at tonight’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards. When his twins arrive later this year, they’ll join his twin awards that he received this evening for his guest performance on Glee and for his hosting of the annual Tony Awards. There’s still a chance for a third statue to join them on the mantle at next week’s Emmys presentation where he’s nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy for How I Met Your Mother. It certainly seems to be the year of NPH!
Family friendly shows seemed to rule the night with Glee grabbing two of tonight’s awards and Modern Family walking away with three of the Creative Arts awards.
The other big winners of the evening were some old school Hollywood stars with John Lithgow winning for his guest appearance on Dexter, Betty White winning for hosting Saturday Night Live and Ann-Margaret for her appearance on Law and Order: SVU.
A surprise of the evening was in the Reality Program category where Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution grabbed the top prize.
It definitely seems to be the year when family friendly shows reign supreme!
