There has been no escaping of Charlie Sheen the last few days.  And with all the media interest and interviews, the Two and a Half Men star is very much aware that people think he’s crazy.

But he says, “It’s not an act.”

In this week’s People cover story, he says: “Here’s the good news: If I realize that I’m insane, then I’m okay with it. I’m not dangerous insane.”

With appearances on Howard Stern, 20/20 and more, the actor continues his ranting and raving.

His interview with People also covers his ongoing “war” with his show’s co-creator Chuck Lorre to his current relationships with two young girlfriends, to dealing with his addictions.

“I’m not interested in addiction, disease, all that crap. Twenty years they took from me. I just decided that I was going to think differently, that I was not going to believe anything I’d been taught,” he said.

What does Sheen about  his children?  He has two-year-old twins Bob and Max with ex-wife Brooke Mueller and daughters Sam, 7, and Lola, 5, with ex-wife Denise Richards.

“There’s a feeling … that I haven’t spent enough time with them, and they’re getting older,” he says. “Not the boys, but the girls. But rather than sitting here and going, ‘What have I done?’ I just change it.”
