Charlie Sheen has been fired from Two and a Half Men officially and permanently.
Warner Bros. issued a statement today about firing Sheen from the CBS sitcom:
“After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on ‘Two and a Half Men,’ effective immediately.”
The statement does not say if the show will go back into production.
A source at Warner Bros. told TMZ that no decision has been made on whether the show will come back.
With Sheen’s latest media blitz, an attempt at running his own show on live webcast via UStream, it’s pretty obvious to me that he desperately needed to keep his job.
The actor’s child support payments alone are over $100,000 a month.
With this latest news, and the fact that Sheen will lose $2 million per episode – Sheen is definitely “losing”.
