Chris Lambton Offered Six Figures To Be The Bachelor: Why He Turned It Down

Chris Lambton Reveals Why He Turned Down The Bachelor

I know that I’m not alone when I say that I truly hoped that Chris Lambton would have a change of heart and sign on as the next Bachelor. Millions of women would’ve had their eyes glued to the TV screen if he had been cast as the leading man. Producers at ABC are not stupid, and even offered Chris a six-figure salary and told him that the show could be filmed anywhere in the world if he agreed to do the Bachelor. There is no doubt that they knew their highest ratings would come with 25 lucky ladies vying for Chris’s affections.

Their offer seemed pretty tough to resist, so why did Chris turn it down? According to him, “it just didn’t feel right.” Lambton says that he prefers to search for the love of his life on his own terms. He also had his future children in mind when making his decision and said, “When my kids are 20 years old and looking for love, I want to say, ‘This is the amazing story of how I met your mom,’ not, ‘Oh, yeah, she was the best of 25.’”

Good grief. Just when I thought he couldn’t get any more irresistible, Chris had to go ahead and throw something about his future kids into the mix. Something tells me that finding a baby mama isn’t going to be an issue for him, TV or no TV.

Lambton also thought about his late mother when considering The Bachelor, and didn’t want her loss being used for ratings.

Is this guy the best thing since sliced bread or what? He’s going to make one lucky girl the happiest woman on the face of the earth, that’s for sure!
