Christian Bale Visits Victims Of Aurora Shooting At 'Dark Knight Rises' Screening

By Devan McGuinness |

The victims of the midnight shooting in Aurora, Colorada during the Dark Knight Rises showing got their very own visit from Batman today.

Denver Post confirmed that Christian Bale was in town and visited with 7 patients at the Medical Center of Aurora on Tuesday afternoon. These patients were injured in the mass shooting that occurred during the premier and Bale spent about 2-and-a-half hours with the 5 victims who were still in the hospital for their injuries (& 2 more victims who came to visit him who are being treated at a different hospital).

Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers,” an assistant for the executive vice president for Warner Brothers corporate communications told the Denver Post.

According to Bill Voloch, interim president of Medical Center of Aurora, “The patients were really happy to meet Bale. They are obviously big fans of his movies. They wanted to see Batman and were really pleased to see Bale.”
