Christina Aguilera National Anthem: The Best or Worst Ever? (Includes Videos)

There have been some amazing renditions of the National Anthem sang at Super Bowl games…there have also been some really bad ones, including Christina Aguielara last night as she forgot the words to the most well known song in the country. Some of the best and worst performances were sang live, while others were pre-recorded and sang into a microphone that wasn’t even on.

Good or bad, there have been many memorable Super Bowl performances. Let’s take a look at some of each. Let’s start with a few of the good ones…

Whitney Houston (1991) – Everytime I hear her sing this (even though it was pre-recorded and she lip sang it), I get chills up and down my arms and tears in my eyes.

Beyonce 2004 – So classy, so beautifully sang. Makes me proud to be an American.

Jennifer Hudson (2009) – She also does an amazing rendition of the National Anthem that makes me want to learn to sing.

And now on to some really, REALLY bad ones. Who can ever forget these, even though we wish we could…

Roseanne (1990) – I really don’t even think I have to say anything at all about this one…

Kat DeLuna (2008) – No kidding, we muted it so we didn’t have to hear her mutilate it. It was so bad, she gets boo’d at the end of the performance.

And without a doubt, Christina Aguilera (2011) is now on this list too. If you missed her less-than-stellar performance, you can watch it here.

What are your favorite Super Bowl National Anthem performances? Your least favorite?
