Looks like Jason Lee is amassing his own set of Chipmunks!
The actor – late of Alvin and the Chipmunks and now guest-starring on NBC’s Up All Night, just announced that he and wife Ceren are expecting a baby in June. It’ll be his third child; the couple has a daughter together, and he has an 8-year-old son from a previous relationship.
He also revealed the baby’s sex; they’re having a boy.
But for anyone who knows Jason, the real question is: What off-the wall name is he going to give the new arrival?
It’s doubtful that the new little Lee will be saying “My name is Earl,” despite his dad’s successful run on that show. That would be too ordinary.
After all, Jason’s boy is named Pilot Inspektor, and his 3-year-old daughter is Casper. (Wonder how many “friendly ghost” jokes she’s had to endure already?)
So going plain at this point would just be silly. And a little Henry or Bill Lee might wonder why his parents didn’t love him enough to give him an original handle. Maybe Jason will opt to pay tribute to one of his best roles ever: Syndrome (from The Incredibles).
Anyway, congratulations to the parents-to-be. Can’t wait to see the birth announcement!
