Congratulations! Maggie Gyllenhaal Has a New Daughter!

By shanaaborn |

Maggie Gyllenhaal is the proud mom of two girls!

We were starting to wonder!

Us Weekly and other outlets just reported that Maggie Gyllenhaal and husband Peter Sarsgaard welcomed their new baby – and second daughter – on April 19.

Keeping the news quiet until now gave the parents time to enjoy their newborn girl in peace, and perhaps give big sister Ramona, 5, a chance to adjust to having a full nursery.

And the name they picked? Again they went with an old-fashioned but charming choice.

The new baby’s name is Gloria Ray. No word yet on how they came to make the choice.

Maggie’s pregnancy wasn’t easy; she had to keep it under wraps until awards season was over, and she fought morning sickness by carrying pretzels in her purse.

But all that’s long since forgotten as the delighted parents get into the swing of diapers and night feedings.

Can’t wait to see the first pictures!
