Courtney Love Quit Twitter…Only For One Day. Yup, She's BACK

courtney love twitter francesMere weeks after ranting to daughter Frances Cobain on Twitter, Courtney Love reportedly quit the social networking site this week. Or so she told MTV’s Buzzworthy Blog. “I’ve stopped twittering. It’s mind crack and it’s stupid,” she says in the video (in which she looks healthy and great, see video-still at left).

And yet, since issuing that statement, she’s logged onto her account. Yup, she’s back. And as always, it’s wildly, wildly  interesting.

Today she retweeted this message from her band Hole’s Twitter feed:

“Head over to MTV.com and check out Courtney’s Buzzworthy Blog.”

Weird and meta, eh? Tweeting to tell people to check out the blog post in which she claims she no longer tweets? In fact, only day she took off completely from Twitter was May 18. Perhaps because she’d been very busy on May 16th and 17th? She spent those days furiously retweeting messages from fans who wished her well and praised her music. She seemed to be fine, until this, on May 17:

“meeting in mercer lobby director writer for Heavier Than Heaven too bad im in a feotal position and have knives in my tummy.”

“mercer lobby” refers to the lobby of the Mercer Hotel in NYC’s SoHo. And Heavier than Heaven? That’s the upcoming movie based on the life of Love’s ex, Kurt Cobain. The film is reportedly being directed by Oren Moverman, who helmed The Messenger, starring Woody Harrelson. No word yet on who will star in the Cobain bio-pic.

It can’t be easy for her to be dealing with this movie at a time when she’s extranged from Frances, the only child she and Kurt had together. And in fact, her next and final original tweet reads:

“does anyone else get REALLY REALLY Depressed? like can’tmove Depressed like paralysed? i do, and i hate it.”

Oh, my. My heart goes out to her. How about you? Check out her feed to see what other fans have to say.
