Dallas is coming back to TV! The 80’s hit is coming back with three of the original stars, for a TNT remake of the classic series. Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray have joined on for the new project. The remake of Dallas will focus on the offspring of J.R. and Bobby Ewing. The original series ran from 1978-91.
The storyline of the new Dallas will follow John Ross, J.R. Ewing’s (Hagman) son and Christopher, the son of Bobby (Duffy) and Pam Ewing as they clash over the future of the family dynasty. Linda Gray played Sue Ellen Ewing, the wife of J.R. Ewing in the original series.
Also signing for the Dallas remake for roles are Josh Henderson (“Desperate Housewives”), who will play John, and Jordana Brewster (“Fast & Furious”) as Elena, who is involved in a love triangle with Christopher and John.
Larry Hagman told Entertainment Weekly that he continues to make appearances on behalf of Dallas, which syndicates in 60 countries today. “It’s like an annuity, really,” Hagman, 78, said. “I go out, they adore me, and then they pay you. What better job can you have?”
