Dark Shadows: Helena Bonham Carter Goes Goth…Again (Photos)

Helena Bonham Carter

I love Helena Bonham Carter. She marches to the beat of her own drummer. She doesn’t care what any one thinks and wears exactly what she wants, not being a slave to trends or a list of what is “in.” Helena Bonham Carter truly an original.

Helena Bonham Carter hit the red carpet for the in her own unique gothy style this week to support the UK Premiere of Dark Shadows the movie she stars in and which was directed by her husband Tim Burton. And her wild stripped gown stole the show even amongst such luminaries as Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer.

In a recent interview with Danielle Radcliffe in Interview Magazine she addressed her fashion sense, saying, “All I’m into is dressing up. I love dressing up. It’s like what we do for our job, get paid to dress up. So I carry on doing it in life, and I do put on a bit of clothing, and the clothing changes how I feel. I think I transform into somebody else, and then you see the photo and go, “That’s so not what I meant . . . ” It’s the disappointment after. That’s why I ceased to watch myself anymore because I go, “It’s still me!””
