Smash? More like Splash!
Debra Messing gamely filmed scenes from her successful show in the midst of a freezing Manhattan rainstorm on Monday. Sharing her pain was Jesse L. Martin, who joins the drama this season as the artistic director of the Manhattan Theatre Workshop.
Despite being well wrapped up in a bulky hooded coat, head scarf and boots, Debra still looked pretty miserable – or maybe she was getting into character in preparation for a stormy argument!
And next time you sigh about the cushy lives actors lead, think about these photos and keep them as a reminder that sometimes you have to suffer for your art.
