Demi Lovato's rehab explained

Demi Lovato’s rehab announcement was a surprise to many fans, but Demi Lovato’s recent fallout with Selena Gomez, the very public Joe Jonas breakup, and her cancelled Twitter account had many wondering how she was handling it all.

Through all of her ups and downs, Demi Lovato has always kept a very cheery appearance, sporting her signature grin at every event and interview she did.

Demi Lovato is no doubt one of Disney’s biggest sensations right now with the success of Camp Rock and its sequel, her TV show “Sonny with a Chance,” and two albums under her belt, you have to wonder if her quick rise to fame has had an impact on her mental health.

Factor in reports that Demi Lovato was bullied in school and fought an eating disorder, plus the rumors of self-mutilation (cutting), and it’s a wonder she has had the tremendous composure to keep it all together.

As for Demi Lovato’s fallout with Selena Gomez, the two were the closest of friends and then suddenly… weren’t anymore. While it’s unclear what exactly happened between the two, it’s likely that the fracture in their lifelong friendship had to be painful for the young star. Here’s hoping they mend their differences.

The timing of Demi Lovato’s rehab happens to come just a couple of days after she cancelled her Twitter account, which was shut down on October 30. Quitting Twitter was probably a wise move for Lovato.

I’m glad to hear that Demi Lovato is getting the help she needs though and continues to be a role model for young girls who see that it’s okay to seek out help when you’re in need.
