Kelly Killoren Bensimon is coming out strong against claims that she is crazy after her recent meltdown on The Real Housewives of New York in which she calls Alex McCord a “vampire,” threatens to “claw” the eyes out of those interrupting a phone call with her kids, and says that Bethenny Frankel tried to stab her in a dream.
Sounds pretty insane. But she says it was not an outburst at all, it was cathartic. “Some people are like, ‘You had a breakdown,’ and I’m like, no, I had a breakthrough,” she tells New York magazine’s Vulture.
Yep, it just got more dramatic.
Kelly is also continuing to play the bullying card and drops a line that makes me think she may just be playing everything up for the cameras in order to get more attention.
She claims that her rival housewives are “not happy I’m on the show, they’re just not…I’m very sensitive, and if someone says something very rude to me over and over again, I’m human. Shoot me.”
That’s understandable. If someone picks on you constantly, in front of a national audience, you’re bound to crack at some point. Just ask heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
Kelly thinks she is just too real, which stems from her being a mom. “In some ways, I’m almost too real. I have two girls, and we talk about feelings 24 hours a day. But those are real-life feelings.”
And I agree. At this point, I was almost feeling sympathy for her when she comes out with this: “Let’s be honest. It makes for awesome TV…if they’re not hating on you, you’re not doing something right.”
Hmmm… suspicious. Does this mean that she acts out for the cameras or is her whole “I’m so real,” spiel legit?
