Are you ready to spend a whole slew of hours in the movie theater this year? You better be. Disney has an awesome slate of films that will be opening in 2013 from the gorgeous and very much anticipated Oz The Great and Powerful to Pixar’s Monsters University to revisiting Marvel’s superheros like Thor and Iron Man as they save the world…again.

Check out what Walt Disney Films has in store for us for 2013 right here!

Which film are you most excited about?

  • Oz The Great and Powerful 1 of 10
    Oz The Great and Powerful
I can promise you one thing, the upcoming Disney production Oz The Great and Powerful will be stunning. I was lucky enough to have seen the sets first hand and can attest to their beauty and glory. Plus with an all star cast of James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams under the direction of Sam Raimi, you can't go wrong.

    Opening Day: March 8, 2013

  • Iron Man 3 2 of 10
    Iron Man 3
Robert Downey Jr. returns to the role he was born to play, that of Tony Stark. In the new Iron Man film, number three in the series, he "finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible."

    Opening Day: May 3rd, 2013

  • Monsters University 3 of 10
    Monsters University
Monsters Inc. is one of my favorite Pixar films, so I, for one, can not wait to see the prequel Monsters University. In the new/old installment, we get insight into how Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan friendship developed after a mutual disdain.

    Opening Day: June 21st, 2013

  • The Lone Ranger 4 of 10
    The Lone Ranger
Arnie Hammer as The Lone Ranger? Johnny Depp as Tonto? Color me sold. This blockbuster is being brought to us from Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski, the team behind the uber-successful Pirates of Caribbean series, so you know it will be action packed and awesome.

    Opening Day: July 3rd, 2013

  • Planes 5 of 10
    Planes
Disney Toon Animations will be flying into theaters with Planes a spin-off of Cars . It follows Dusty, a crop duster, who attempts to win a around the world race.

    Opening Day: August 9th, 2013

  • The Little Mermaid 6 of 10
    The Little Mermaid
The next Disney classic bringing brought back to life in vivid and vibrant 3D is The Little Mermaid, a film that will surely be huge in the theaters with families (if I could buy tickets now, I would).

    Opening Day: September 13th, 2013

  • Delivery Man 7 of 10
    Delivery Man
In this new DreamWorks movie Vince Vaughn stars in this "story of affable underachiever David Wozniak, whose mundane life is turned upside down when he finds out that he fathered 533 children through sperm donations he made twenty years earlier."

    Opening Day: October 4th, 2013

  • Thor: The Dark World 8 of 10
    Thor: The Dark World
Chris Hemsworth returns to his role as the superhero Thor. In Marvel's Thor: The Dark World, Thor battles, yet again, to save Earth. Also appearing in the film is Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston returning as the big bad.

  • Frozen 9 of 10

The next big animated feature coming from Disney Animation Studios is Frozen, a comedy — adventure film about a prophecy that traps a kingdom in eternal winter. The snowy musical will star the voice talents of Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel.

    Opening Day: November 27, 2013

  • Saving Mr. Banks 10 of 10
    Saving Mr. Banks
Tom Hanks will be playing the one and only Walt Disney in the film Saving Mr. Bands . He shares the screen with Emma Thompson who stars as P.L. Travers, the woman who wrote Mary Poppins and who made the Disney's quest for the book rights quite a challenge.
