As 3-year-old Suri’s interest in high heels, $800 purses and makeup has been making headlines, there’s been some concern that Tom and Katie are letting their little girl grow up too fast. Namely, everyone’s wondering: Does Suri boss her parents around, or do they encourage her to dress like that? Either way, it’s a little weird.
Well don’t worry. Adam Brody, who worked with Katie on The Romantics, says that nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, they say Suri’s very “down-to-earth.”
When asked about superstar Suri in an interview, Adam said:
“Her daughter is down-to-earth. You’d think she wouldn’t be! She’s amazing!
She’s very outgoing and loving.”
Of course, that just leads to another question: Are normal children really expected to be “down-to-earth” at age 3 and 1/2?
Something about calling a child “down-to-earth” when you’re trying to convince people that she’s not a brat just rings a little hollow, right? What exactly qualifies as “down-to-earth” at age 3? Does a “down-to-earth” toddler still believe in Santa, or are they reading Darwin’s “Origin of Species?”
