Drew Lachey: My Brother Will Be an Amazing Dad!

Drew and Nick Lachey.

Still heartthrobby after all these years, Drew and Nick Lachey kicked off their 98 Degrees reunion tour last week after more than a decade apart.

It’s an exciting time for them – but not nearly as exciting as the other event the brothers will celebrate in a few weeks. Nick is expecting his first child, a boy, with wife Vanessa Minnillo Lachey.

But although Drew is an experienced dad – he has two kids of his own – he insists he won’t be the know-it-all brother who tries to share everything he knows about childrearing.

“I don’t give any advice. That’s rule number one,” he tells the new issue of Parade. “You don’t tell anyone how to raise their kids.”

Besides, he adds, his bro doesn’t need any guidance from him.“He’s going to love that baby so much, everything is going to be fine,” Drew says. “I don’t have to give him any advice. He knows how to hold it, love it and hug it. That’s basically all you have to do. Everything else will work itself out.”

Both brothers are also busy with new TV projects. Nick participated in the show Stars Earn Stripes, and Drew is preparing to return to the all-star version of Dancing With the Stars.

He’s looking forward to hitting the dance floor again, but “I’m nervous about all of it!” he confesses. “Yes, I’ve done it before and won it, but that doesn’t discount the fact that you have 12 other people who are very good that are trying to do the same thing.”

We have a feeling Drew will do just fine – and that Nick will be just as good a dad as his brother predicts!
