DWTS: Does The Tea Party Really Have a 'Operation Bristol' for Season 11?Sunny Chanel
It was a shocking moment for many a Dancing with the Stars watcher…when the highly respected dancing skills of Brady was sent to the wayside for the (fill in blank) skills of Bristol Palin. Surprising, unexpected and totally off the mark, Bristol Palin, was voted to stay to the finale. She had routinely been in the bottom of the scoring week after week but somehow, Bristol Palin was saved and made it to the finale. And some think it ain’t just luck or talent…it’s due to cheating! What are they saying?
Jezebel.com combed tea party websites and message boards and it appears that they found evidence that not all is hunky dory in DWTS voting world. The show stopped being about the pitter patter of dancing feet but about politics, and dirty politics at that.
One poster stated the Bristol’s DWTS success was a political statement saying, “You may not be a fan of the show or even Bristol but I firmly believe her continued success on the show demonstrates the power of the tea party.”
And some discuss how the uber -multiple votes are accomplished. They say:
“Here’s a hint: They don’t have to be VALID email addresses to register them with ABC.com, there is apparently no validation process. The just have to be formatted like a valid email address, and you must use a valid zip code and a birthdate that makes you old enough to vote. I’m voting like a democrat, all night long…”
“No, it doesn’t have to be a valid email address I had one of my anonymous ones XXX@yahoo.com that I used, and then just did the sign-up process all over again with XXX1@yahoo.com and it worked.”
“Got my 80 votes in online…took 2 hours. I am beat”
“I only got 42 in, I have some catching up to do!”
“Lord have mercy, I voted for 3 hours online! I got 300 in.”
Did the Tea Party really fix the votes? But the big question is, why and how did a show like Dancing with the Stars become so political? Isn’t it about dancing not Democrats vs. Republicans?
Do you think that the fix was in for the votes? Or do you think Bristol actually deserved to be in the finale?
