The moment Emily Maynard broke it off with The Bachelor’s Brad Womack was the moment we knew Emily Maynard would be the next Bachelorette. And now it looks like all our suspicions that she would be next in line to be wooed and maybe wed as the next Bachelorette are becoming a reality. But is a reality show really a place for children? Especially a dating show? The big question – how will this effect Ricki and the format of the show in general?
This would be a new era for The Bacherlorette. This won’t be just a single lady dating show, this will be a single mother dating show. Emily Maynard and her six-year-old daughter are a package deal. The man who wins Emily’s heart will also have to win Ricki’s. The show won’t just focus on if the man is marriage material, he’ll also have to be daddy material right out of the gate.
It will be interesting to see how this may change the show. Will the Bachelorette be more Mickey Mouse than make-out sessions? Will there be more Disney than drinks? Will there be more board games than mind games? But the real doozy – how much will Ricki be on the show, and will this have a positive or negative affect on her life? But I guess if Emily finds a loving husband and Ricki gets a father out of the deal, no one loses. Right?
What do you think of the news that Emily Maynard will be the next Bachelorette?
